Level VI Course: Advanced Immediate placement,  GBR with PRF using Straumann Neodent

$700.00$1,900.00

COURSE schedule

Course Description

GBR
There are several pre, peri and post-op conditions that result in significant loss of tissue-supporting implants. There are many pathological conditions as well that may result in premature bone loss, tissue dehiscence, and altering term results. The main objective of this course is to be able to recognize these conditions and be able to diagnose and create a treatment plan for such cases. These conditions often require rebuilding the lost tissue and re-establishing good function, form, and esthetics with long-term stability of the restored arches.

This course will establish a good understanding of how to manage such conditions with the use of biologic materials for eg. bone grafts, membranes, and growth factors. The hands-on session will teach the most predictable techniques to resolve bony defects.

PRF
The objective of this course is to understand how the growth factors are produced and activated to improve biocompatibility in procedures like GBR (Guided Bone Regeneration) and soft tissue management.

There is scientific evidence to demonstrate that the growth factors are released by platelets and white cells. We have had the PRF since 2000 and we now have low-speed centrifugation, Advanced PRF (A-PRF) and Injectable PRF (i-PRF), which are being routinely used for implants, GBR, and GTR procedures.

Advanced Platelet Rich Fibrin combines the fibrin network, the growth factors from the platelets, and an increased amount of white cells for better vascularization. And the i-PRF proposes platelets, white cells, fibrinogen in liquid form but with a high number of mesenchymal stem cells. This concept has revolutionized routine tissue grafting and healing as we know.

*Limited enrollment ensures one-on-one interaction between the instructor and participants.

Course outline

Immediate placement is often associated with bone, grafting and regenerating tissue around the surgical site. This course will highlight all the necessary surgical procedures needed to ensure a successful immediate placement for single tooth or full arches. clinicians will learn how to place and manage immediate sites using Neodent Straumann products, as well as developing a surgical site to receive implants that can be restored predictably. The hands-on sessions will cover an entire workflow From planning, implants, placement of implants to digital records, and final restorations.
