AFTER TAKING THIS COURSE YOU WILL BE ABLE TO
Each participant will learn the placement of root form dental implants in a unique interactive and simplified step-by-step fashion.
The beginners course also includes the learning of the fundamentals of biomechanics the biology of bone, as well as the rationale for the diagnosis, treatment planning, and the clinical practice of placing root form dental implants. The course will also cover pre and post surgical considerations, possible post surgical infections, and the management of complications.
BEGINNERS COURSE (My First Implant)
"DENTAL IMPLANTS MADE SIMPLE"
Participants are encouraged to bring the cases that they intend to work on. This course will provide opportunity to diagnose and treatment plan the cases so that you can confidently present and start your cases soon after the course. In order to do this, doctors should bring the following items:
Limited enrollment ensures one on one interaction between the instructor and participants to enhance the learning experience.
HANDS-ON EXERCISES are divided into 4 sessions including, treatment planning modalities, suturing techniques, and implant placement.
Treatment Planning Modalities will start with establishing diagnosis and treatment plans on actual cases provided by the New York Implant Institute. This exercise will utilize models, surgical templates and panoramic radiographs.
INSTRUMENTATION will include, introduction to instrumentation where in the participants will learn about the motorized functions as well as detailed usage instructions of all the surgical instruments including implant kits on blocks and models.
Surgical Suturing Techniques will go over the surgical technique, flap designs and reflection for implant placement on models and different suturing techniques used for implant placement.
IMPLANT PLACEMENT will include incisions and flap designs on the pig jaw ; placement of dental implants, manipulation of surgical flaps; obtaining of tension free closure ; suturing techniques, followed by a step-by-step guide to restoring the implants on models.
